Harry Potter Needs Recasting? Challenge Accepted.

The internet is a dangerous place. Sometimes, it can be incredibly difficult to know if something you're reading on the internet is even true. For example; I have recently seen rumors circulating (only rumors, right?) that within the next ten years, we will have before us an entirely rebooted series of Harry Potter movies. new director, new crew, and most excitingly, a new cast. Oh, I can hear it now. People crying out, "Blasphemy! You simply cannot remake those movies!" Believe me, I understand. The Harry Potter series, both movies and books, are (forgive the pun) nothing short of magical. But hear me out. The people of this time were lucky enough to watch this series grow. For many people, some of the most exciting days of their lives were when the new Harry Potter book came out, or when they went to the midnight premiere of one of the movies. I will argue that not only should someone remake the Harry Potter movies, but that is  necessary. I think the next generatio...

Austin, here. I am posting today to share with you a project that has been filling my time quite a lot for the last few months: Lightning Fork Productions. Lightning Fork Productions is a YouTube channel that my brother Andrew and I created in August of 2013. As seriously as you'd expect two teenage boys to take filmmaking. Andrew and I share a similar sense of humor, so our films tend to lean towards a more humorous side. Some would describe this humor as "silly", "nonsensical", or even "stupid". Of course, all of these things are true, but that's the thing we find most fun ab...

Age Range:  8 and up  Grade Level:  3 and up Series:  All the Wrong Questions Hardcover:  288 pages Publisher:  Little, Brown Books for Young Readers; First Edition edition (October 15, 2013) Language:  English ISBN-10:  0316123056 ISBN-13:  978-0316123051 Buy it: Amazon   I should have asked the question "How could someone who was missing be in two places at once?" Instead, I asked the wrong question -- four wrong questions, more or less. This is the account of the second. In the fading town of Stain'd-by-the-Sea, young apprentice Lemony Snicket has a new case to solve when he and his chaperone are hired to find a missing girl. Is the girl a runaway? Or was she kidnapped? Was she seen last at the grocery store? Or could she have stopped at the diner? Is it really any of your business? These are All The Wrong Questions If you’ve ever felt like some adults could easily be like the ones you see in Charlie Brown, with t...
