Hello, users of the internet and readers of readingteen.net. Austin, here. I am posting today to share with you a project that has been filling my time quite a lot for the last few months: Lightning Fork Productions.
Lightning Fork Productions is a YouTube channel that my brother Andrew and I created in August of 2013. For as long as I can remember, the pair of us have shared a love for filmmaking, and this is our first attempt at taking it seriously.
Well.
As seriously as you'd expect two teenage boys to take filmmaking.
Andrew and I share a similar sense of humor, so our films tend to lean towards a more humorous side. Some would describe this humor as "silly", "nonsensical", or even "stupid". Of course, all of these things are true, but that's the thing we find most fun about this. Sure, we don't expect to be taken completely seriously by our audience, but we're honestly just making these videos for the fun of it.
Without further ado, here are a few of my personal favorites out of the films that we have created. Thank you for watching, and I hope you enjoy.
- Austin

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins Audio  So, I was going through my old posts, looking for something to post today, and came across this.  I guess I never posted it, because I was just so angry and disappointed.  Plus, I think I had talked so much about it, that I was sick of talking about it.  And also, I feel like there were so many things that bothered me that I couldn't get it all down.  But, I thought it might be fun to post this, and see if anyone is interested in it.  So, here are my bitter and resentful thoughts on Mockingjay! :P 8-30-2010 *spoilers galore* After reading Mockingjay all day on Tuesday, I left Wednesday morning to go on vacation for my anniversary.  All I could think about was Mockingjay.  You might think that's a good sign, like it was so well done that I couldn't forget about it.  But, for me, it wasn't.  I was so disappointed in this book.  Honestly, if I hadn't loved the first two books so much, I pr...
