Andye
is the owner of Reading Teen, and creator of Young Adult DC. She
started Reading Teen with her friend and their teenage children as a way
to connect with each other and the world of book-loving people. YADC
was born out of a desire to stay up-to-date with local events, and
hopefully create lasting bookish friendships.
When she’s not reading all things Young
Adult, you can probably find her on the volleyball court with her
daughters, or pushing books on unsuspecting friends. Please don’t tell
her YA isn’t for Adults. That just makes her angry. And you won’t like
her when she’s angry.
Reagan Eppes is a teenage girl who is not known for anything teenagers are generally known for, but rather she is known for sarcastic comments and reading books faster than seems humanly possible. She may or may not have an addiction to Percy Jackson, Harry Potter and Dr. Pepper. Reagan is a part time blogger, and a full time reader. Her reviews are funny and will most likely involve serious fangirling over seriously hot fictional boys (s/o to my mans Dean Winchester) especially since the ones at her school suck. Reading Teen has been a part of her life for so long that there are a lot of embarrassing videos and reviews that, if mentioned anywhere around her will result in immediate decapitation. On the side, she is a music, and marine animal lover (read: you may see her crying at a Taylor Swift concert, passed out in front of the whale shark tank at the Georgia Aquarium, or excitedly telling you all of the nerdy facts she knows about Great White Sharks). Feel free to call her Reagan, or Rea, whichever floats your boat :)
PART TIME REVIEWERS:
Becca
is a twenty-three year old girl who spends way too much of her time
obsessing over fictional characters, whether it's by reviewing them,
reading them, writing them, or even turning them into pups with her
popular Cover Puppies feature. When she's not doing any of these, she's
probably painting a bookish style tote bag, which she sells on her Etsy,
Pivot Book Totes. In her spare time (what spare time?), she works at
her main job as a carnie, setting up bouncy castles and all sorts of
other fun stuff in the great state of Oklahoma. She's up for book
flailing with you 24/7 over the interwebz as long as you agree to never
under any circumstances call her Rebecca, because she feels old when you
call her that!
Kit is Andye's daughter who is currently going to college in New York City. Her favorite things are food, books, and fashion, but she hates cooking, writing, and sewing, so life can be a struggle sometimes. She loves Chick-Lit and Contemporary books, but tries not to discriminate too much.
She collects copies of
Alice in Wonderland, consumes an unhealthy amount of cheese, listens to Taylor Swift more than she'd care to admit, and is addicted to caramel iced coffee.
