Best Young Adult Books of 2011 Giveaway


The year is almost over (wow!) and Amy and I have once again done a vlog to talk about our favorite Young Adult books of the year!  If you are looking for great gift ideas, for teens and those still young at heart, these are all books that we highly recommend!  Of course there are a few books released in December (like Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare) that we are sure we will love as well!

    This is hard - but I think my favorite book of 2011 was Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Or maybe Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky.

    My favorite book of this year was definitely Divergent! It was so freaking amazing. I loved it. I could read that book a thousand times and never be bored! :)

    So many books I want to read! Perfect by Ellen Hopkins might be my favorite of 2011. Or Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent.

    I think you totally covered all my favs this year :) But Night Circus was a great book! I mean it made you feel like you were actually there. I think the Pledge was cool, too. Thanks for the giveaway!

    I loved Unearthly, Delirium, Divergent, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, but in addition to those, I'd probably say The Book of Tomorrow Miles From Ordinary, Forbidden and Clean were ones that really stuck with me.

    My favorite book of 2011 was probably Delirium by: Lauren Oliver, like you mentioned. It was the best dystopian/romance ever! A close secoond would be Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

    Oh my! Your post made me realize how many awesome books I missed this year! Can I have a few more weeks of 2011 please?

    My favorite book would be The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. OMG that book was so freaking fantastic! (I want it on audio!!! why isn't it available as an audiobook yet?!)
    And then Divergent. And Shatter Me. And... I'll stop now.:D

    This is SO hard! But I'm gonna go with The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss, which at almost 1000 pages did not have a single part that bored me, I loved every moment of reading it!
    And because I can't just pick one I'm gonna cheat and add: Witchlander by Lena Coakley, The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab, The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley, Delirium, Wither and Unearthly :)

    A lot of these were books I loved as well. My top three favorite novels of 2011 are:

    THE NIGHT CIRCUS by Erin Morgenstern, DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver, and (I don't know if it can technically count since it releases in Jan. 2012, but the ARC of INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows is one of my new all-time favorite fantasies, so...)

    My favorite book of 2011 is DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE. The writing is so magical and beautiful and fantastical! I love the romance in this and the ending is so heartbreaking!

    Definitely have to be The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Hands down.

    I would originally say The Hunger Games, but I read it in 2011 and it was released prior, so I don't think it would count.

    I haven't read all the books on your list, but I loved Legend, Divergent and Goliath. My own top ten list of the year will also include The Five Flavors of Dumb-I highly recommend it!

    My favorite book for 2011 is Wither by Lauren DeStefano. I just finished City of Ashes in The Mortal Instruments series, and I'm totally in love with Shadowhunters. Divergent is on my bookshelf now, and I know that it, too, will be a favorite because I haven't heard even one negative review on it.

    My favorite BOOK of 2011 would have to be 'STARCROSSED' by Josephine Angelini.. but if I could pick BOOK(S) then there would be A LOT of them, but lets do top 5 and all the books of Cassandra Clare would be #1 (no, that's not cheating!) lol =) #2 Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver, #3 Legend by Marie Lu, #4 Blood Rights by Kristen Painter and #5 Touch by Jus Accardo.... YAY for 2011 !!! I can't believe the year is almost over.

    My favourite book of 2011 was Divergent! I loved that one! :D I also loved Angelfire, and Clockwork Prince. :D

    Awesome list! Loved Divergent! Love love Lola! There are still quite a few of those that I still have to read. Loved Firelight but I still have to get my hands on Vanish. There are so many talented writers. :)
    I have a list of favorites and Lola and Divergent are high up on them.

    Also, I really liked Delcriox Academy. And I haven't gotten to Uncommon Criminals yet, but i loved the first in the series.

    There were SO MANY great books this year! I just devoured and adored Lola & the Boy Next Door. I also loved The Scorpio Races & Forever by Maggie Stiefvater. Then again, I love everything she writes. I adored Delirium & Divergent & Miss Peregrine's & Mara Dyer... really, it was a fantastic reading year! :D

    Hmmm, that's a tough one. I think my favorite is probably Shift, the sequel to Shade. It was really well written and it was different from the first story. Jeri Smith-Ready did an excelent job of continuing this trilogy and I loved it! :D

    Wow that's a hard choice! There were a lot of great books this year but I think my absolute favorite was Succubus Revealed by Richelle Mead. She's such an awesome writer! I really liked Bloodlines too, so that's a good second.
