THIS BOOK IS BEAUTIFUL! And no, I'm not just talking about that super cool cover. The story line, writing, characters, EVERYTHING! I LOVE IT! I read the other books by Brigid Kemmerer (More Than We Can Tell & Letters To the Lost) and I thought they were absolutely incredible. I was worried when I started it, because the description sounded so good and her other books were so good and I wanted this book to be just as good AN IT WASSSSSS!!!! The book is a little big, so slow readers beware you're in for a mountain that is SO worth the climb. It kind of feels like two separate books, which I am 100% okay with, it's like you read a book and then think you need to wait a whole other year for book 2, but find out it's already out.

The world building is amazing. Kemmerer not only plays with our world, she also has created her own world with its own politics and its incredibly creative. Since the book is bigger, it makes the character arcs amazing and so much better than if it had been smaller. The main character, Harper, is from this world so it's funny to see how a modern woman would adjust to a different world. The other main character, Rhen, is the beast and I love him so much so good bye all pain and suffering I will fight you to the end of the earth. So to see them both from the beginning of the book and compare them to the people they are at the end is breathtaking.
