I've been on such a contemp (rom com) kick lately, so I was really excited to get this in the mail. Thanks so much to S&S for sending! 

I seriously devoured EMERGENCY CONTACT, and that's really saying something since I've had such a hard time finding time to read lately. I love that it was blurbed by Rainbow Rowell because I definitely think it will appeal to fans of her books. The witty banter, the awkward moments, the way the characters saw themselves vs how others saw them, the character arcs . . . it was all just so fantastic!

Penny and Sam are both such flawed characters. But they weren't nearly as flawed as they thought they were. I really enjoyed reading a scene from one point of view, and how much of a disaster it seemed to be, then when you read the other point of view, it seemed completely different.

There was so much change and growth that happened throughout the book. I didn't know how on earth these two characters would ever be able to get together, so when they finally figured things out it was SO fantastic. I only wish they had a little more page-time as a couple. No lie, I almost gave this four stars because this book is too big and adorable not to have a least one amazing kiss at the end!!! I loved it, tho.
