The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo - SHADOW & BONE IS #1 PRIORITY BINGE READ. If only so you can read Six of Crows IMMEDIATELY. Just trust me (and I'm sure Andye would back me on this!)
Vampire Academy/Bloodlines by Richelle Mead - Vampires + Vampire Guards + SEXY guys = <3
His Fair Assassin by Robin LaFevers - ASSASSIN NUNS. That's all I'm saying. (Also, they are totes bada**es!
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare - Demons + Demon Hunters + LOTS of sexual tension. Trust me, this series is 110% binge-able. You won't want to stop reading them! (Which is great since the new companion series comes out March 8th! Trust me, it's pretty epic!!)
Anna, Lola, & Isla by Stephanie Perkins - You don't necessarily have to read these in order, but they are way more fun if you do! Totally lovable quirky characters who fall in love in the most adorably complicated ways. Not to be missed!!
Unfinished series (BUT STILL WORTH CHECKING OUT!!!!!!):
The Winner's Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski - A girl who fights wars with her brain falls in love with her new slave, and lots of heartache and swoons abound! (Luckily the last book comes out March 29th, so you have plenty of time to read the first 2!)
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - This series features some of my all-time favorite literary characters. I even named one of my dogs after one of them (psst. It's Manon! :P). This series is one of the most well-crafted, heart-wrenching series I've ever read, and I basically feel like I'm waiting for all the books to release the way I used to wait for all the Harry Potters. (I just wish we had some midnight release parties for them too! COME ON BOOKSTORES!)
Firebird series by Claudia Gray - I feel like this series isn't as popular as it should be? I never see anyone talk about it, but wow! It's so complex and the world-building is phenomenal! PLUS THERE'S TIME TRAVEL/DIMENSION TRAVEL + some of the most GORGEOUS covers known to YA. And if you don't like them, who cares?! Because they will look fanta-bu-lous on your shelves! :)
The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows - You may want to actually wait a little bit on this one, because the second/last book isn't out yet, and book 1 will basically murder your soul and kill all your emotions. Fair warning. I was warned, didn't listen, and totally regret it now. BUT IT'S SO GOOD!! This series made Jodi Meadows an auto-buy author for me. (I still need to read her other series!!)
The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes - Politics and Scandal in Washington D.C. What ever could go wrong? Answer? Everything. Nothing. Depends on who you ask, or if you decide to read and find out for yourself. It's definitely a fast paced political mystery worth checking out!
Or maybe you're not in the mood to binge read a whole series? Well, here's five books that are perfect to binge read in a few hours! Trust me, you won't be able to put them down until you reach the last page!
Stand-Alones:
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon - a book about a girl who's so sick that she can't leave her house. Told in drawings, journal entries, medical charts, etc. You won't be able to look away. (and there's some major boy swoonage. Just FYI)
Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas - BOOK THAT I REC TO BASICALLY EVERYONE. It's basically a mix of two criminal cases from the 90's/early 00's(? I believe), and I really don't want to say anymore, because spoilers. MOST. UN-PUT-DOWN-ABLE. BOOK. EVER.
The Devil You Know by Trish Dollar - About a girl who decides to run away from her troubles at home with two guys she randomly meets while out partying at a lake with friends. Turns out maybe it's not smart to trust strangers, because now people are turning up dead everywhere they go. SO. GOOD.
The Imposter Queen by Sarah Fine - I hear there is technically a companion story coming out next year, but I still kind of count this one as a standalone, but I really, really enjoyed it. It was everything I expected out of a Sarah Fine novel (maybe a little more), and it might actually be my new favorite of hers.
House of Ivy & Sorrow by Natalie Whipple - Witches. Secrets. INCREDIBLE writing. Wholly unique plot. Well worth checking out!
