Top Ten Books Becca Has Recently Added To Her TBR...

From Becca's Shelves...

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish.

This week's topic is TOP TEN BOOKS BECCA HAS RECENTLY ADDED TO HER TBR, (I just looked at my goodreads list) which turned out to be an interesting combination of books for 2016. Most of them are highly anticipated reads for me, and I'm curious to start hearing some buzz about them!!

GOING GEEK by Charlotte Huang (September 3, 2016) - Okay, so I read Charlotte's debut, For the Record, at the end of last year, and thought it was totally adorable, quirky, and dramatic. She's an auto-buy contemporary author for me now, and I'm pretty much dying for her new book, Going Greek!!

THE LONG GAME (The Fixer #2) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (June 7, 2016) - I'm late to the Fixer bandwagon but I read The Fixer last week, AND ZOMG I NEED MORE. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I WAS INTO POLITICAL THRILLERS UNTIL NOW. But can The Long Game have some kissing? Maybe a little? :)

THE READER (Sea of Ink and Gold #1) by Traci Chee (September 13, 2016) - An ALAMW book that caught my eye from people's hauls. Wow! I hadn't heard a thing about this book until then, but it sounds great!

THE STAR TOUCHED QUEEN by Roshani Chokshi (May 3, 2016) - A new fantasy based on Indian Mythology and holy crap it sounds badass, creepy, and definitely a must read for me!

STRANGE THE DREAMER by Laini Taylor (September 27, 2016) -  NEW LAINI TAYLOR. I REPEAT. NEW LAINI TAYLOR. And because I'm nice here's the teaser that was on goodreads:

Strange the Dreamer is the story of:
the aftermath of a war between gods and men.a mysterious city stripped of its name.a mythic hero with blood on his hands.a young librarian with a singular dream.a girl every bit as dangerous as she is in danger.alchemy and blood candy, nightmares and godspawn, moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and carnage.Welcome to Weep.

NEVERNIGHT by Jay Kristoff (August 9, 2016) - This reminds me of the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. BUT IT'S ASSASSIN'S AND A GIRL AND SCANDAL AND I NEED IT NOW. Or, at least, a cover reveal. (Also, fun fact: Kristoff said it's like Lies of Locke Lamora and Harry Potter.... OMG!)

DEVIL AND THE BLUEBIRD by Jennifer Mason-Black (May 17, 2016) - Fantasy + musical elements + super adorable cover? Yes, please!

RUN by Kody Keplinger (June 28, 2016) - I adore Kody Keplinger, writer and person, and I'm super stoked to read something new from her, especially something that seems close to her heart. Plus, it's about runaway teens, which seems fun and crazy!

SHUFFLE, REPEAT by Jen Klein (May 3, 2016) - Pitched as, When Harry Met Sally for YA Romance Readers. EEEP!

EVER THE HUNTED by Erin Summerill (December 27, 2016) - A fantasy about BOUNTY HUNTERS. YAAAAAS. Beautiful cover. *sobs about it not releasing until DECEMBER*

Let's discuss! What books have you recently added to your TBR lists? Looking forward to any of the ones I listed?

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins Audio  So, I was going through my old posts, looking for something to post today, and came across this.  I guess I never posted it, because I was just so angry and disappointed.  Plus, I think I had talked so much about it, that I was sick of talking about it.  And also, I feel like there were so many things that bothered me that I couldn't get it all down.  But, I thought it might be fun to post this, and see if anyone is interested in it.  So, here are my bitter and resentful thoughts on Mockingjay! :P 8-30-2010 *spoilers galore* After reading Mockingjay all day on Tuesday, I left Wednesday morning to go on vacation for my anniversary.  All I could think about was Mockingjay.  You might think that's a good sign, like it was so well done that I couldn't forget about it.  But, for me, it wasn't.  I was so disappointed in this book.  Honestly, if I hadn't loved the first two books so much, I pr...
