This week's topic is TOP TEN BEST BOOKS I READ IN 2015! which I kind of went overboard with. As one does when chosen for the task of naming the best books of the year. That was the worst task ever! But also fun, remembering the books that took my breath away!
Shutter by Courtney Alameda - Ghost Hunters meets Vampire Academy with Wicked Smart Sass!!! Definite new fave & DYING for another book in this series!! PLEASE COURTNEY!!!
Hello? by Liza Wiemer - I think everyone knows how much I love this book by now, but for real, this book is a life changer. Love it and the author oh, so much!
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab - The first high fantasy book I've truly loved. Is it Feb yet? Need the sequel like yesterday.
The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows - MY FEELS STILL HAVEN'T RECOVERED FROM THIS ONE, JODI. Yet my head is telling me this was one of my absolute faves this year.
Under a Painted Sky by Stacey Lee - I ship the bestie-ship in Under a Painted Sky. This was like Code Name Verity meets the Oregon Trail, and it was epic!
The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski - Kestrel & Arin (AND A TIGER CUB!!!!), so of course, this is another best book for me. I'm so excited to see how their story ends....hopefully with LOTS AND LOTS of kissing.
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo - Hands down, the best of all of the books on this list. You know, if I had to choose. With a gun to my head. Because I hate playing favesies.
Dumplin' by Julie Murphy - Glad I gave this author a second chance despite hating her debut. If not I would have missed out on reading one of my all-time favorite books now. Very important read. And there's lots of Dolly Parton, if you need another reason.
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas - I'm still not okay. But I like not being okay?
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - Sarah J. Maas is the equivalent to me now what Suzanne Collins and JK Rowling were to me in my youth. I worship every single book she writes. I would buy her grocery lists. (I promise I'm not that weird.)
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon - When Andye says a contemporary book is the best, you know it has to be. Of course, she was spot on with this one. BEST.
Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray - The second book in the ATSaY series, and my love for it grew so much more. To see this entire galaxy expand beyond with each world is just indescribable. LOVE LOVE LOVE
When We Collided by Emery Lord - Hello, I'm addicted to Emery Lord books.
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover - The first New Adult book that I couldn't put down, and actually read in a day.
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken - Outlander meets Time Travel except with PIRATES! What a whirlwind of adventure!!!!!
Illuminae by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman - BEST SCI FI OF THE YEAR. Hands down. Impeccable.
The Wrath & The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh - A retelling of A Thousand and One Nights. OMG! My feels are still recovering from this one too.
The Royal We by Heather Cocks & Jessica Morgan - Basically fan fiction of Prince William and Princess Kate, or BEST THING EVER!
Violent Ends by Shaun David Hutchison - Very important and impacting anthology about a school shooting from a bunch of fantastic authors. Blown away.
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin - What the world would be like if the Nazi's won WWII, and it is harrowing/extremely addicting. Unputdownable.
