Top Ten Author Duos You'd LOVE To See Write A Book Together...

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish. 

This week's topic is Top Ten Author Duos You'd LOVE To See Write A Book Together. Okay, so I fully intended on only writing five of these things, because at first, it sounds really hard, but once you sit down and start thinking, your mind opens up to all of these possibilities (ESPECIALLY when you do it while looking at your shelves!)

1. Sarah J. Maas & Alexandra Bracken

I was originally going to say SJM & Susan Dennerd, because they are bff's always, BUT Alex is one of SJM's besties too. Plus SJM & SD already have that space book thingy that I cannot remember the name of right now. I really think that Sarah & Alex could come up with some badassery. Now, my only question is....WHEN IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN LADIES?! (You know you want to do it.)

2. Julie Kagawa & Marissa Meyer

Julie & Marissa are two of my faves, and they are both super duper sweeties! But their stories are all so fantastically constructed that I would love to see what these two would come up if they used their epic writing skills together.

3. Marie Lu & Leigh Bardugo

Mostly, I just need a new Leigh book and a new Marie book STAT, so why not put them together? You might say, but Becca, The Rose Society, comes out tomorrow. Well to you, I say, "BUT IS IT WRITTEN BY LEIGH TOO? I DON'T THINK SO!" So I need a collaboration for double the epic-ness. Don't you think so?

4. Richelle Mead & Marie Rutkoski

I love both of these ladies books respectively. Marie has that soul-crushing way of writing and Richelle has all the snark and schmexy boys. Wait a second-- now that I think about it, both of these ladies do that in their books. SO IMAGINE IF WE COMBINED THEIR POWERS AND WHAT TYPE OF BOOK WE WOULD GET IN RETURN! On second though, I'm not sure my soul could take it.

5. Emery Lord & Stephanie Perkins

My two contemp favsies. Emery and Stephanie. Writing a swoony book. My heart is pitter-pattering away just considering the notion! PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?! I asked nicey, now where is my new book?! (If only that worked in real life, eh?)

6. Laini Taylor and Scott Westerfeld

This one kind of just popped into my head, because their books are close together on my shelves. I loved Scott's books since Uglies and Laini is breaking my heart by not having another book out yet, but her Daughter of Smoke & Bone series is ON FIRE. I think these two would make a perfect duo for writing a book together! Bring it on!

7. Elizabeth Wein & Ryan Graudin

Elizabeth Wein writes some of the best historical fiction I've ever read. Ryan Graudin writes some of the best alternate historical fiction I've ever read. (SERIOUSLY GO READ WOLF BY WOLF ASAP OR PUT IT ON YOUR WISH LISTS BECAUSE YOU NEED IT. JUST TRUST MY BOOK PUSHING) So it only makes sense that if they teamed up together that they would rock the socks off of everybody. 

8. Jenny Han & Morgan Matson

TEAM HANSON. 

(I honestly think that's the best ship name I've ever thought off, btw)

9. Ransom Riggs & Taherah Mafi

I mean, OBVI, this one needs no context.

THEY ARE MARRIED.

IT HAS TO HAPPEN OR IT'S OVER. 

10. Susanne Collins & Rainbow Rowell

So Rainbow Rowell totally fan-fic'd Harry Potter, and I think it would be great if she did that to The Hunger Games. Just saying. I'd buy that years in advance. (I know it's not really a collaboration, but still. PLEASE RAINBOW)
