Top Ten Tuesday: The Last Ten Books That Came Into My Possession...

From Becca's mailbox...

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke & The Bookish

This week's topic is Last Ten Books That Came Into Your Possession. I'm prettttty sure these are the last ten, but not 100% positive, because I haven't been keeping track lately. Oh wellsies.

Dissonance by Erica O'Rourke - For review. I'm so excited for this one (and Resonance), because I really wanted to read it last year, but never ended up buying a copy (I have no idea why, because I literally seem to buy everything.)

Resonance (Dissonance #2) by Erica O'Rourke

Anne & Henry by Dawn Ius - For review. TUDORS. RETELLING. WHAT.

Jesse's Girl (Hundred Oaks) by Miranda Kenneally - I jumped on the Hundred Oaks bandwagon a little late (like last summer, I think), but I love these books with all of my heart! Miranda is such a wonderful contemporary author, and I know she will blow me away with Jesse's Girl.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapien's Agenda by Becky Albertalli - The book hype got me on this one. Plus a huge sale at my book store. Plus it was a hyped book that I mentioned last week about wanting to read. It's a win-win, right? Also, I purchased oreos to eat while I read, because I hear they are a pretty big deal in this book?

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider - Another local bookstore sale! SANATORIUM = MUST READ FOR BECCA.

Willowgrove (Hemlock #3) by Kathleen Peacock - THANKS BOOK OUTLET SALE! Those coupons give me life. Super excited to see how this werewolf-y adventure ends!

Infinite (Newsoul #3) by Jodi Meadows - Again thank you Book Outlet SALE! Seriously. Now I can finish this series! I need more Jodi Meadows in my life since I finished The Orphan Queen!

Of Dreams & Rust (Of Metal and Wishes #2) by Sarah Fine - For review! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. Can you tell I'm excited about this? I actually just got it today, and I cannot wait to read it. It is next on my TBR. I don't even care, because Of Metal and Wishes was one of my top 5 faves last year. I can't wait for more of this gory Phantom of the Opera retelling!

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway - I bought this one because Andye pretty much wouldn't stop gushing about it, and that's a pretty big deal when a book is a contemporary. I am about 60 pages from finishing, and SHE WAS SO RIGHT. THIS BOOK IS ADORBS AND I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT. (Also, fun fact: my first best friend (and first kiss btw) was my neighbor, who was a boy and we were actually born on the same day/same year/same hospital too. 2/10/91 WOOT WOOT!)

So what are some of the last books that came into your possession? Have you read any of the ones I've purchased recently? What did you think?

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins Audio  So, I was going through my old posts, looking for something to post today, and came across this.  I guess I never posted it, because I was just so angry and disappointed.  Plus, I think I had talked so much about it, that I was sick of talking about it.  And also, I feel like there were so many things that bothered me that I couldn't get it all down.  But, I thought it might be fun to post this, and see if anyone is interested in it.  So, here are my bitter and resentful thoughts on Mockingjay! :P 8-30-2010 *spoilers galore* After reading Mockingjay all day on Tuesday, I left Wednesday morning to go on vacation for my anniversary.  All I could think about was Mockingjay.  You might think that's a good sign, like it was so well done that I couldn't forget about it.  But, for me, it wasn't.  I was so disappointed in this book.  Honestly, if I hadn't loved the first two books so much, I pr...
