I was so excited when Little Brown (Thank you so much, Faey Bi!) sent me this, that I screamed in excitement. I've been waiting and waiting for this sequel, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait. And I totally agree with Ransom Riggs when he says "A rare sequel that surpasses the original.". I read this book in no-time, I just couldn't put it down.
Action:
The action is one of the best things about this series. This book reminded me of the show Supernatural. Amazing. The ghosts. The demons. How they used salt rounds as bullets in a paintball gun. It was awesome, you get so pulled into book!
Romance:
Let me just say that Kami Garcia is a genius. The way she writes about Kennedy and Jared is so amazing. I do have to say that I love Lukas but I love Jared more. Jared is SO Dean (from Supernatural) and come on, everyone loves Dean. I'm really excited to read more about their story, I really enjoyed reading about them!
Heroine:
Kennedy was a very likable character. She's brave and totally in love with Jared. I really enjoyed reading about her character and I'm looking forward to read more of her story.
Hero:
Hmmm... Jared or Lukas? I'm going for Jared. There twins. There sweet, buff, and absolutely gorgeous. They reminded me of Dean and Sam from Supernatural (Jared as Dean and Lukas as Sam), and if you haven't seen Supernatural you should because its amazing.
Favorite Supporting Character:
Priest is the one who makes the book funny. He may be younger than the rest of the gang but he's definitely one of the smartest.
Something I loved:
The romance, the action, and the creepiness. I love all the characters and everything about this book.
Cliffhanger?
Yes. And I can't wait for the next one!
Would I recommend it?
If you're into a creepy thriller with some amazing romance, then definitely!
