I received My Last Kiss in exchange for an honest review.

I had never heard of the author, Bethany Neal, or this book before I received it in the mail.  I am truly glad I read it, though.  The concept of "I'm a ghost with unfinished business" is nothing new. But I enjoyed Ms. Neal's take on it.

Cassidy is your average high school girl. Friends, boyfriend, activities, etc. And Cassidy has her secrets. Cassidy's family life is falling apart, and she feels like she can't tell her boyfriend, Ethan. So she confides in her childhood friend, and things quickly get out of hand. And that gets her killed.

Her mission is to find out how she died, before she can move on. And she enlists the help of Ethan, who happens to be the only person who can see her, and Amy, one of her best friends.  As they investigate their circle of friends, the mystery of Cassidy's death slowly unravels.

The person responsible for Cassidy's death is pretty predictible, but doesn't take away from the story.
 Cassidy isn't a particularly likable character, but she is very relatable.

 I liked how the author didn't try to put too much into her story. She used one PN element, and stayed true to it.

 I liked the fact that the story isn't graphic, on either the circumstances of death or sexual situations. 

 I also liked that it isn't a sad story, more of a " I died. Let's find out why" story.

Overall, I liked this book, and am looking forward to more from thie author!
