THE GIVER tells the story of Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Once given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory, Jonas begins to unveil the realities of the world he actually lives in. Based on the beloved young adult novel by Lois Lowry, the film hits theaters everywhere August 15th.

  1. I haven't read it *I know, I know* But both my teenagers did for school, one loved it and one didn't :) I might still read it before the movie comes out.

  2. I have read the Giver and I absolutely loved it. I just hope this movie lives up to it. Especially as it is such a favourite to so many people as well. It just needs to be a good book to film adaption!

    1. I'm dreading taking my daughter, Reagan. She read the book and is already complaining about the trailers. She's probably going to rant during the entire thing.

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
