In this book Artimé is gone replaced by what the death farm looks like. All the magical animals are statues and all the statues don't move. Mr. Today is dead and all that's left of him is his robe and vague instructions on how to bring back Artimé. But Lani and Samheed are still on the Silent Island trapped unable to speak other than a series of taps and slaps that makes up the alphabet that they invented. Alex wants to rescue them but has no way to get there. The Silent Boy and the Silent Girl are awake and communicating with hand signals and charades. Aaron now has High Priest Gunnar Haluki and Miss Morning in captivity. Aaron is taking over Quill while Alex is having Artimé thrust on his shoulders.
Action:
The action was great and always at the right time and in the right place. It wasn't overdone, like action left and right. It was good because it all fits in perfectly. Is that really vague?
Romance:
Don't get me started on this topic. Everyone is falling for the wrong person! It's like, you have to be kidding me!!! If it keeps going in that direction half of the first two books will be a waste of time! RAWR
Heroine:
Lani, Meghan, and the Silent Girl are our three heroines. I dislike the Silent Girl. Lani is going crazy. The only sane one is Meghan!
Hero:
Alex, and Samheed are both heroes. Though they're both going crazy too!
Favorite Supporting Character:
That would be Lani's little brother Henry, he's funny and carries around a magnifying glass that is extremely helpful in this book.
Something I loved:
I wish I could say, but that would spoil the book and that wouldn't be very nice of me would it? It's the biggest part of the book (minus the ending of course).
Something(s) I hated:
The romance part, it drove me crazy!

Sort of, not really though.
Would I recommend it?
Yeah, it's still a good book.
Will I buy/keep it?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure selling it would be bad, especially since it was a Christmas present.

Cover:
The cover is so perfect! I've never seen a cover more perfect. The front cover is a scene in the book. Of course it's a bit different. But the way it happened in the book has a bit less heroic than it looks on the cover. Action:
