This book was fascinating! So much going on with King Hall. The characters were great, story line was detailed and the writing was pretty good.
King Hall is about a girl named Lily who is a shifter with a big secret. She goes to a different kind high school, were others like herself, go to learn more about their powers and strengths. They are trained in battle, history of origin, and how to max out their strengths to the fullest. Of course, it's like any other high school full of teen angst, drama, romance, gossip, cliques and so on.
I really enjoyed this book. The synopsis above pretty much says it all. It was a fun read full of surprises and action, with some strong sexual tension thrown in.

Elite was a pretty good book. I'm a fan of Rachel Van Dyken author of The Bet, and upcoming The Wager. She can write a pretty sweet love story. Elite is different than her other books, not so much romantic, but more bullying with romance. The main female, Tracey Rooks, was very naive and innocent. She starts Eagle Elite College and everything changes for her. Tracey meets Nixon and his group of bullies. Seriously, these push her around, call her degrading names, touch her inappropriately and so on. I was surprised when the leader of the pack Nixon (who is very mean to Tracey at first) starts to play nice, and she almost instantly trusts him. It's a little unnerving. Despite all this, I still enjoyed the book. Tracey's innocence and naivety doesn't last long, I'm guessing most girls grow a lot when going to college. There are some twists and turns that keep you guessing, and the romance is pretty good. Don't hesitate to pick this young adult book up, it's worth the read.
