I was intrigued with this book. I had never read anything like it before. However, description captured my interest. Andye told me about this book, and I thought it sounded pretty great, so I decided to give it a try. It completely blew away all of my expectations.
Action:
Thought there wasn't much action in this book, there was never a dull moment nonetheless. It always kept pace, and was entirely entertaining.
Romance:
Oh, the romance! It was brilliant. Galen was so romantic, sweet, and kind towards Emma. I cried, it was so beautiful. Definitely some of the best romance I've ever read.
Heroine:
Emma was so funny! Reading about her was so entertaining and enjoyable. Her wit was unmatched by any character I've ever read about.
Hero:
I loved Galen. He was funny, sweet, lovable, and absolutely gorgeous. Such a manly man. Well, a manly Syrena.
Favorite Supporting Character:
I really loved Rayna, Galen's sister. She was really funny and I think topped the book off. And I also loved Rayna's mate/husband, he was really funny and I loved his character.
Something I loved:
I loved the contrast of all the characters, they were all so funny! I loved all the sea-creaturey kinds of stuff.
Something(s) I hated:
There wasn't a lot that I hated about this book except for the GIANT cliffhanger.
Cliffhanger?
Absolutely a cliffhanger. Things just sort of stopped in the middle of the story. I really need to read to sequel.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, I would definitely recommend to people who love romance and undersea stuff. I absolutely loved this book. It was hilarious, romantic, and had lots of sea-creaturey stuff. If you like that I totally recommend this book!

ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed this book and found that I was anxious to get to bed to read it. I randomly grabbed it off the shelf at my local library. It's like it was calling me! :) So glad I did and I will be getting this in ebook format to keep and will also be reading the sequel soon. I'm sure many other reviews have the synopsis, so I will just say that this book was well written and very enjoyable to read. The story was interesting and in many ways unique and the characters were likable. I was sorry to have it end, particularly with such a cliffhanger! Not the best book I've ever read, but definitely the best 'mermaid' book.
