Soumei Hoshino isn't really an author, just the illustrator. Also, this book is a manga, and it is read "backwards" so, yeah, just a side note before I start. 

The Review

This book was the most interesting book on the manga shelf at the book store, so, naturally, I picked it up and flipped through it a bit. I could tell that I was gonna love it just by what I saw on the cover, though! 

The book begins with Alice's dream, where she has no idea what's going on, and there are dudes talking about a strange game. That sorta got me hooked, and it told me that something awesome was going on behind the scenes! 

It starts off with Alice's dream and a couple things explaining her life in the first couple chapters, but then it goes straight into the plot, which is kind of... random at times, but very interesting and pretty fast paced. It's very similar to the original Alice In Wonderland, but also very different in many ways. For instance, all the characters carry at least one weapon, and they are all quite quirky. 

The plot is pretty interesting, and it's probably going to get even better, because in order to get home, Alice has to meet all the people of Wonderland, and then Julius, who lives in the clock tower, will take her back . This is an awesomesauce book, with seriously awesome characters, and a really fun plot! I can't wait to go back to the store (or amazon) and get the next ones!

My Thoughts (May Include Spoilers)

I totally fell in love with all of the dudes in this book! No joking, they were probably one of the best elements of the book, because they're all in love with Alice and they're all so adorable! If I had to choose any of them... I wouldn't, I'd just take all of them! (Even though I'd have to beat down the queen for one of them...) They each had qualities that made them so awesome! For example, I would choose Ace because he's totally adorable and sweet! I would pick Peter because when he loves you, he never lets you go. And I would choose Blood because he's just hot, even though he might kill me if he got bored of my company...! Elliot, because he would protect me, and fight for me, even though he gets distracted! And Boris because he's so adventurous and funny and cute! Julius and Nightmare are cool too, but I don't know much about them.
I also liked how the characters were always pulling out random guns and fighting as though they wouldn't get hurt at all! It was really funny and sweet how they would fight over Alice and she would be like, 'guys! Stopit! This is so stupid!' And they would just keep fighting and having a conversation while they shot at each other.

Anyway, I'd better stop before I just tell you everything. If you're looking for a book with action, and awesomeness, and cool characters, chose this one! It's a manga, yes, but it's like almost two inches (I think) thick, and full of awesomeness!
