After a series of brutal murders rocks Gotham City, Batman begins to realize that perhaps these crimes go far deeper than appearances suggest. As the Caped Crusader begins to unravel this deadly mystery, he discovers a conspiracy going back to his youth and beyond to the origins of the city he's sworn to protect. Could the Court of Owls, once thought to be nothing more than an urban legend, be behind the crime and corruption? Or is Bruce Wayne losing his grip on sanity and falling prey to the pressures of his war on crime? 

My Review


I have always been a fan of comic books. It started out with Marvel Comics when I was very young, and progressed into DC superheroes, Star Wars, and many more. Like any sane person, I am very fond of Batman. The ultimate detective, the scariest hero of them all. Scary for the bad guys, I mean. Anyway, this was definitely one of the books from BEA I was most excited to get. 
 
Writing:
  At first, I found this story a bit hard to follow (This may or may not have been because it was four in the morning when I started it) but it quickly picked up the pace. I haven't read a comic book so quickly in years. I'm definitely going to be keeping up with this series. I'm already hooked.

Art:
  I was very impressed with the artwork in The Court of Owls. It stays to a dark, eerie sort of theme throughout. There wasn't ever a time where I was confused as to what was going on. This images were clear and beautifully drawn. Definitely one of my favorites when it comes to art.

    I picked this up at BEA too and I am really excited to check it out. Glad to hear its a series worth getting into.

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
