Why You Should LISTEN to the Harry Potter Books

Today, as I was going through my Google Reader, catching up on some blogs, I came across this post on Squeaky Books, and I just HAD to share it.  I know that I've talked about my love of the Harry Potter Audiobooks until I was blue in the face, but there are still some of you who doubt me.  I can't believe I haven't seen this video before, but I LOVE IT!!  Not only is Jim Dale amazing, but after finishing the Harry Potter movies, hearing him read from the first book, just seriously makes me want to cry.  So....sit back, and let Jim Dale take you back to the wonderful world of Harry Potter.  Then go buy, check-out, rent, borrow or steal the audiobooks.  (Ok, don't really steal them, unless it's from your mother, like I did.)

I seriously can't quit smiling!!  I love his voice, his characters, and everything about his reading.  Now go read Enna's post and see how she's almost as obsessed with these audiobooks as I am!

  1. I'm not a big fan of audiobooks, mostly just because a lot of the earlier readers didn't read them in a way I liked. But the Harry Potter audiobooks are masterpieces. Jim Dale is the best audiobook reader ever. Seriously.

  8. I love these audio books! The way he says Harry's name in Hermione's voice has become a family joke. They are so much fun and add a whole other level to the Harry Potter experience.

  9. I'm so glad I was encouraged to listen instead of just reading them when I was first introduced to Harry Potter this spring. I know that it will become a series that I listen to yearly!

Finally, My Thoughts on Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins Audio  So, I was going through my old posts, looking for something to post today, and came across this.  I guess I never posted it, because I was just so angry and disappointed.  Plus, I think I had talked so much about it, that I was sick of talking about it.  And also, I feel like there were so many things that bothered me that I couldn't get it all down.  But, I thought it might be fun to post this, and see if anyone is interested in it.  So, here are my bitter and resentful thoughts on Mockingjay! :P 8-30-2010 *spoilers galore* After reading Mockingjay all day on Tuesday, I left Wednesday morning to go on vacation for my anniversary.  All I could think about was Mockingjay.  You might think that's a good sign, like it was so well done that I couldn't forget about it.  But, for me, it wasn't.  I was so disappointed in this book.  Honestly, if I hadn't loved the first two books so much, I pr...
