Happy Monday and welcome to stop #7… Today’s post is about the auditory imagery in Unhinged. One of the most important things a writer does to build a good scene is to incorporate sensory. Sounds are one of my favorites to weave in, because they bring everything alive in a very universal way. Chomping teeth, creepy crawlers, crackling flames … for the most part, the sound triggered in the imagination is similar for everyone. To share how I personally envisioned these sounds while writing them, I’ve posted a spotify player (login with FaceBook) with some sound bites that helped build the scenes. I’ve also listed the chapters they appear in, along with a hint of each sound’s origin in the book.

   If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.
