Best Young Adult Books of 2011 Giveaway
The year is almost over (wow!) and Amy and I have once again done a vlog to talk about our favorite Young Adult books of the year! If you are looking for great gift ideas, for teens and those still young at heart, these are all books that we highly recommend! Of course there are a few books released in December (like Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare) that we are sure we will love as well!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite book of this year was definitely Divergent! It was so freaking amazing. I loved it. I could read that book a thousand times and never be bored! :)

ReplyDeleteI loved Unearthly, Delirium, Divergent, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, but in addition to those, I'd probably say The Book of Tomorrow Miles From Ordinary, Forbidden and Clean were ones that really stuck with me.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite book of 2011 was probably Delirium by: Lauren Oliver, like you mentioned. It was the best dystopian/romance ever! A close secoond would be Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

ReplyDeleteThis is SO hard! But I'm gonna go with The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss, which at almost 1000 pages did not have a single part that bored me, I loved every moment of reading it!

ReplyDeleteTHE NIGHT CIRCUS by Erin Morgenstern, DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver, and (I don't know if it can technically count since it releases in Jan. 2012, but the ARC of INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows is one of my new all-time favorite fantasies, so...)
I loved Entwined by Heather Dixon , I also really loved The Merchant's Daughter by Melanie Dickerson, and I started reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, and I'm loving it!!

I haven't read all the books on your list, but I loved Legend, Divergent and Goliath. My own top ten list of the year will also include The Five Flavors of Dumb-I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book for 2011 is Wither by Lauren DeStefano. I just finished City of Ashes in The Mortal Instruments series, and I'm totally in love with Shadowhunters. Divergent is on my bookshelf now, and I know that it, too, will be a favorite because I haven't heard even one negative review on it.

Awesome list! Loved Divergent! Love love Lola! There are still quite a few of those that I still have to read. Loved Firelight but I still have to get my hands on Vanish. There are so many talented writers. :)

There were SO MANY great books this year! I just devoured and adored Lola & the Boy Next Door. I also loved The Scorpio Races & Forever by Maggie Stiefvater. Then again, I love everything she writes. I adored Delirium & Divergent & Miss Peregrine's & Mara Dyer... really, it was a fantastic reading year! :D

ReplyDeleteHmmm, that's a tough one. I think my favorite is probably Shift, the sequel to Shade. It was really well written and it was different from the first story. Jeri Smith-Ready did an excelent job of continuing this trilogy and I loved it! :D

Favorite book I've read this year. That's a really hard question. Um.... Lost Hero, The Unwanteds, and many many others were so good. But I'd have to say that the two I mentioned were really awsome.

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of the year had to be "The Faerie Ring". I love faeries and I love history so it was the perfect book for me! :)
