Between Two Kingdoms
*Update!  The winner of the book, Between Two Kingdoms is post #5 (Amanda).  Congratulations!  Please email me with your address and I'll get that to you right away!!

From the book:

"The Dark Prince of the Lower Kingdom is plotting against my Father and me.  Freddie is one of my best leaders, but I need more.  I need you in the Lower Kingdom right now."
Tommy tugged at his lower lip.  "This is really what you want me to do, Prince?"
"Tommy, this is what you were born to do."

There is a land of two kingdom, but only one true King.  A living land, where foundations grow in trees and rivers sing and breathe.  A dying land, where the darkness of a false prince threatens to swallow everything in its shadow.

Tommy, Mary, Bobby and Luke live as children, eternally seven years old, in the Upper Kingdom under the Great King's protection.  Both the Upper and Lower Kingdoms used to be ruled by the Great King, until the Dark Prince, Senkrad, rebelled against the King and split the Kingdoms.  Now the Lower Kingdom, and all of the people in it, are in danger of being cast into eternal darkness by Senkrad's evil plan.

The Good Prince, son of the Great King, asks the children to travel to the Lower Kingdom, where they will become adults, and fight against the evil that is spreading.  There, under the guidance of Pops and Roger, two old men that have been fighting Senkrad for many years, they form a plan to save the people in the Lower Kingdom from the darkness that threatens to engulf them.

Will the children keep the hope, vision, and humility, given to them by the Good Prince, or will they be seduced by the temptations of the Dark Prince?

In this work of allegorical fiction, Joy Boyd takes us on a journey of faith, hope and love, and in the process, makes you think about your own faith journey.  If you enjoy Christian fiction or fantasy novels, check this book out!
